Building connections every day

Community doesn’t just happen at events, it grows in everyday moments. From casual parent meet-ups and community picnics to volunteering in the classroom, families are encouraged to connect, contribute, and be part of centre life.

Staying in touch

We keep families in the loop through newsletters, emails, and friendly conversations, so you always feel informed and included. And outside the centre? We love hearing stories of our kids spotting each other at the beach or park, keeping those friendships alive beyond the classroom.

1. Book Week – Author visit

Book Week – Author visit

Book Week was extra special with mum Claire Thompson sharing her book Croc Candy. The children were so curious about how a story comes to life and loved asking all their author questions.

Snail hunt adventure

Armed with magnifying glasses we set out on a mission to spot snails hiding around Dunbar Park. There was so much excitement as we counted 14 little explorers sliding through the leaves.

Checking on the pipe works

Our daily walk took us past the big street works where we stopped to check in on the action. The children shared their ideas about pipes and machines while watching the workers hard at work.

Campfire creations at the park

At the park the children imagined heading off on a camping trip together. Soon they were busy collecting sticks and building a campfire ready for songs and stories.
5. Creek visit with a duckling surprise

Creek visit with a duckling surprise

We strolled down to the creek and were greeted by a family of ducks paddling in the water. Everyone sat quietly in awe as the fluffy ducklings wobbled after their mum.
6. surfs up

Surf’s up!

As we headed over the sand dunes we stopped and listened to the roar of the waves. When we reached the deck the children were thrilled to watch surfers trying to catch the big swells.
7. Worm hunting in the mud

Worm hunting in the mud

After the rain comes the worms and today we found the perfect patch of squishy mud to explore. The children spotted wiggly worms of all different sizes and marvelled at their movements.
8. Off to the climbing tree

Off to the climbing tree

On the way to our favourite climbing tree the children chatted happily and walked side by side. It was such a joy to see their strong friendships and sense of connection.
9. Spreading out the radishes

Spreading out the radishes

We eagerly planted radishes a week ago and today it was time to give them more space to grow. The children carefully separated the seedlings and chatted about how radishes grow under the ground like little treasures.

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land and we pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
